Death and Astrology: Is Prediction Possible? A Look at Notable Case Studies
There are two things which an astrologer finds very difficult to predict and many anomalies also – these are birth and death. So there is not a clear cut answer to predict these two events but there are certain planetary positions and dasha which one should be careful. I will explain it by giving examples.
Note-It’s just a general study. These above placements does not mean that this will definitely give sudden death. There are also some other planets whose support over these above placement can nullify the effect.
In birth chart, following are things which may lead to sudden death:
1-Weak 8th House
8th house is the house of darkness, mysticism, shady world, fear, death, evil energies and black magic. Maha Dasha or Antar Dasha of planet sitting in 8th house will attract sudden death if not well placed.
Ex: Smita Patil- famous bollywood actress died due to complication in child birth. It was during Saturn Maha Dasha which was sitting in 8th house.
2-Maha Dasha or Antar Dasha of planet sitting in 2nd house.
2nd House represent superficial thinking and extreme materialistic nature/behavior. When Planets which are sitting in 2nd house Maha Dasha or Antar Dasha occurs, the tendency to not value life increases significantly. For example, person under going this dasha will be feeling to drive rash, or to eat too much junk food/ liquor consumption or doesn’t take care of health and desires took control of your life.
Example: Famous Bollywood Actor Guru Dutt died in Saturn Maha Dasha which was sitting in his 2nd house. The cause is – he was drunk and had taken an overdose of sleeping pills.
3-Maha Dasha or Antar Dasha of planet sitting in 7th house.
This is the house which is opposite to your ascendant. Your ascendant is your body. Planets in 7th house represent masses, wife and legal partnership. Dealing with them badly can harm your body because their aspect is directly on your body i.e. your 1st house.
Ex: Mahatama Gandhi assaisnated in Jupiter Mahadasha which is sitting in his 7th house.
4-Rahu mahadasha.
Rahu represents Greed, obsession, illusion, defame, cheating, attachment and materialistic nature. If in your birth chart, Rahu is badly placed and Rahu Maha Dasha or Antar Dasha is activated, then your maximum of Rahu qualities will be activated and also you will start attracting naturally Rahu kind of people in your life. There are high chances of murders or suicides during this dasha.
Ex: Former PM Late Mr. Rajiv Gandhi was assasinated in Rahu Maha Dasha.
5-Venus Mahadasha
Venus also represents materialistic pleasures. If Venus is badly placed , then during this Dasha people usually indulge in extra alcoholic, drugs, lustful , luxury type of activities thereby harming one’s body and mind leads to accidents and death.
Ex: Famous Bollywood Actress- Divya Bharati.
She fell from 4th floor due to displace of body due to extreme alcohol intake in Venus Maha Dasha
6-Mars in 1st, 2nd, and 8th house
When Mars is sitting/aspecting on 1st and 8th house, then due to excessive anger, rash actions or lust activities lead to death of that person.
Ex: As per chart, Mars of Divya Bharati was in 8th house .Mars always represent falling from height. She died by falling from 4th floor.
7-Weak ascendant
If planets which gives disturbance to 1st house (like Mars, Rahu and Ketu) are either sitting or aspecting the 1st house can lead to sudden death.
Example: Famous bollywood Actress Madhubhala died due to health reasons at a young age of 36. Her Rahu is sitting in 1st house and Mars is aspecting 1st house from 7th house.
8-Weak Moon
Moon represents mind and thoughts. The moon also represents the expression of our beliefs. Extremely negative ideas about life might lead to death, especially during the Moon Maha Dasha or Antar Dasha, when things appear quickly, since we believe passionately during this Dasha.
Ex- Bollywood Actress Jia Khan. Her moon is sitting with Rahu and Venus.
Cause of her death was suicide due to love relationship problems. Time of birth is not accurate , but date of birth is accurate and thus, planetary conjunction are known.
